Vendor-Supported Accountability Group

What is a Partner Vendor-Supported Third-Party Accountability Group?

A Third Party Accountability Group acts as a liaison between the vendor and the partner, maintaining a closer and more meaningful relationship on the vendor’s behalf. The 3rd party often performs the duties of the Vendor account manager, channel manager, and even a chief revenue officer, whose primary responsibilities are to increase the sales of the vendors products and services.

The primary benefit of partnering with a Vendor Supported Accountability Group is that the facilitator has extensive experience advising and coaching industry executives and can address all aspects of the partner’s ecosystem – including personal, business, and partnership vendor obligations – to ensure accountability and success.

“Everyone is accountable somewhere to someone!  There are some things I could accomplish, often faster, if I were held genuinely accountable.  But some things I can’t share with my co-workers or even those at home. These people will take it easy on me and even let me make excuses and let me slide.  Using a 3rd party accountability group keeps me authentic to myself and a group with no selfish agenda that will hold me accountable with no excuses.”  – Paul Daigle, CEO, BizAdvisoryBoard.com

The facilitator’s responsibilities are to meet with the partner one-on-one to discuss their Personal, Business, Things, vendor goals and obligations, and baseline their business, so a measure of success can be accounted for.  The yearly goals and baseline occur over a couple of initial “thought-provoking” short goal setting, and quarterly recap, and yearly recap, are felicitated lead one-on-one meetings.

The Group of 3 to 5 partners meets Bi-Weekly (virtually for 45 minutes), where they review their goals set from the previous meeting in front of the facilitator and their peers. Between the sessions, the partner longs into their personalized portal to update their process.

The Vendor (Upon their choosing) may elect to meet with their group every quarter.  This meeting can cover additional training on new products and services or review how each partner progresses through their obligations, especially the partnership with the vendor expectations.

Paul Daigle, the CEO of BizAdvisoryBoard. “Many vendors do not have the experienced staff nor the time to invest in their partners in this manner.  Typically, vendors only cover the obligations the partner made to them, and skim over or often ignore the partners’ personal ecosystem of business, personal, and things. BizAdvisoryBoard facilitates a third-party Accountability Group that addresses all 4 of the partner’s personal executive echo systems.  Let the Vendor do what they do best for the partner: product training and support, assisting in closing deals, and participating in marketing.  By the way, marketing is often provided by a third party for the same reasons that accountability groups are.“

By supporting the partner’s personal goals, business objectives, and vendor relationships, Vendor Supported Third Party Accountability Groups can help maximize the effectiveness of Marketing Development Funds.
